Application for re-entry to the Finnish Trade Register or termination of liquidation (companies removed since 2023)

These instructions are intended for companies that have been removed from the Finnish Trade Register or ordered into liquidation starting since the beginning of 2023. Read more about the requirements for re-entry to the register or termination of liquidation.

Who can apply?

Only the company can apply for re-entry to the register or termination of liquidation. A creditor or authority cannot file the application.

The application should be signed by a board member, the managing director, the house manager or a representative appointed in a meeting of the shareholders or members of the co-operative. If the company is in liquidation, the application should be signed by the liquidator.

If an authorised person signs the application, enclose a copy of a special power of attorney or the original general power of attorney.

When to apply

Submit the application within one year of the PRH's decision to remove the company from the Finnish Trade Register or order it into liquidation. If the company was first removed from the register and then ordered into liquidation, the one-year deadline is counted from the decision to deregister the company.

The one-year deadline is counted from the entry into force of the Act on 1 January 2025 if the decision was made before that.

How to apply

You can submit the application either on our online form or as a free-form application, which you can send by post.

Select on the online form or write in the paper application which of the following you are applying for:

  • Re-entry to the Finnish Trade Register
  • Termination of liquidation and re-entry to the Finnish Trade Register
  • Termination of liquidation

Confirm in the application that the company has not been dissolved and that its assets have not been distributed in the liquidation procedure.

If the deregistered company had registered auxiliary company names, select on the online form or write in the paper application whether the auxiliary company names will be registered again or deregistered. You must pay a separate handling fee for registering auxiliary company names. It is not possible to file new auxiliary company names together with the application.

Use a separate personal data form to provide the contact person’s details.

Use separate forms to supplement or correct the details in the Finnish Trade Register. Please note that you cannot submit the details via the online service at ytj.fi.

You must pay the handling fees in advance.
