Processing of personal data at PRH

The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) keeps several official registers. Essential registers including personal data are

  • the Trade Register
  • the Register of Associations
  • the Register of Foundations
  • the Patent Register
  • the Trademark Register
  • the Utility Model Register
  • the Designs Register
  • the Register of Auditors
  • the Finnish Business Information System (jointly with the Tax Administration).

Our registers are meant primarily for providing authorities as well as other people and organisations with information. We process personal data in accordance with legal requirements.

We handle personal data lawfully, and regularly arrange training courses for all our staff on how to process personal data.

We also make sure that unauthorized persons are not allowed access to the data stored in our registers.

We have drawn up a data protection policy, in which we explain how we process personal data lawfully.
