How file financial statements with the Finnish Trade Register using a paper form

The law requires companies to file their financial statements with the Finnish Trade Register. Companies must file their financial statements for each financial period, even if the companies are not active. Do not file unapproved financial statements with the Trade Register.

Please note that the financial period in the financial statements must be the same as the financial period registered for the company in the Trade Register.

File all financial statement documents. Go to our instructions: Financial statement documents.

Who files the notification?

The notification is signed by a person responsible for the company, who is recorded in the Finnish Trade Register, or by a representative he or she has authorised. Procuration rights are not enough to sign a notification to the Finnish Trade Register.

Enclose a power of attorney if an authorised person signs the notification.

What does it cost?

If you file the financial statements on paper, the handling fee is 100 euros. The PRH will send you an invoice. Do not pay the handling fee in advance. Filing is free of charge if you use the online service at ytj.fi to file your financial statements within eight months of the end of the financial period. The online service is available in Finnish and Swedish.

Please note that if you file your financial statements with the register late, in other words more than eight months after the end of the financial period, the PRH will invoice you 100 euros for the delay.
