Accessibility statement: PRH open data
The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) works constantly to improve the accessibility of the service. We will update the statement as accessibility problems are corrected.

How the accessibility statement was compiled
This statement was compiled on 15 August 2024 and updated on 6 November 2024. The statement is based on
- an assessment carried out by a third party
- our own assessment that the problems the third party discovered in their assessment have been corrected according to the instructions of the third party.
How accessible this service is
This online service is partially compliant with the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services 306/2019 except for the non-compliance listed below.
Inaccessible content
- (WCAG 2.1, 4.1.2.) The button indicating closing has an invalid aria-label.
- (WCAG 4.1.2) The ”Select” element does not have any accessible name.
- (WCAG 1.3.1) Wrong elements used in the list elements.
- (WCAG 2.1.1) The scrollable area is not keyboard accessible.
- (WCAG 2.1, 3.3.1) When errors occur, the cursor does not go to the error message.
- (WCAG 2.1, 4.1.3) After searches, the cursor does not go to the search results.
- (WCAG 2.1, 1.1.1, 1.3.1, 2.4.6, 3.3.2.) Labels are not programmatically associated with a corresponding field.
- (WCAG 2.1, 1.4.3) There are contrast errors in the code sections.
- (WCAG 2.1, 1.1.1) Users of assistive technology do not get information about required fields, as it is only presented visually.
- (WCAG 2.1, 4.1.2) The arrows pointing down do not have an accessible text alternative.
The PRH will do its best to make the inaccessible content in item 1 accessible during 2025.
The inaccessible content in items 2–10 relate to a standard software (Swagger) used in the interface search function. The users use the software to search for information. The accessibility problems are caused by standard software features the PRH cannot fix.
How to give feedback on accessibility problems
If you notice any problems in accessibility in the PRH open data, first give feedback to us at the PRH. It may take up to 14 days to get an answer. The PRH feedback group processes your feedback. Give feedback about accessibility problems.
If you are not satisfied with our answer or if you do not receive an answer from us within 14 days, you can file a complaint with the accessibility supervisory authority, the Regional State Administrative Agency (AVI) of Southern Finland.
