Accessibility statement: PRH Document Service

The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) is committed to making the PRH Document Service accessible in accordance with the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services (laki digitaalisten palvelujen tarjoamisesta 306/2019Open link in a new tab, lag om tillhandahållande av digitala tjänster 306/2019Open link in a new tab). The PRH works constantly to improve the accessibility of the service. We will update this statement when necessary.

How the accessibility statement was compiled

This statement was compiled on 11 December 2023.

The statement is based on:

• an evaluation by a third party (Eficode Oy) of whether the website meets the requirements laid down in Directive (EU) 2016/2102; and
• our own assessment that most of the problems the third party discovered in their assessment have been corrected according to the third party’s instructions.

Accessibility of the service

This online service mainly fulfils the requirements laid down in the law (the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services 306/2019Open link in a new tab).

Inaccessible content

The functions listed below do not yet meet the accessibility requirements, but we are working on ways to address the shortcomings as we develop the service further:

1. (WCAG 2.4.4) For technical reasons, the file size is missing from the links for documents and the certificate of receipt
2. (WCAG 4.1.2, 1.3.1, 1.4.3) Shortcomings related to the certificate of receipt:

• Document content has not been indicated with identifiers, so the file is difficult to read with a screen reader
• Headings
• Tables, column headings and cell
• Pictures.
• The document does not have a title
• The contrast ratio of the lighter grey text in the footer (3.94:1) is insufficient
• The file name (TML1518.pdf) is not descriptive.

How to give feedback on accessibility problems

If you notice any problems in accessibility at prh.fi, first give feedback to us at the PRH. It may take up to 14 days to get an answer. The PRH feedback group processes your feedback. Give feedback on prh.fi on any problems in accessibility.

If you are not satisfied with our answer or if you do not receive an answer from us within 14 days, you can file a complaint with the accessibility supervisory authority, the Finnish Transport and Communicatios Agengy Traficom.
