How can I check my own details?

You have the right to check what details about you have been entered in our registers, or to find out that your details have not been entered in our registers. Checking your own details is free of charge.

Proceed as follows

You can check your details as follows:

Use the service at suomi.fi to check your current roles (positions) of responsibility.
Send us a request to check your personal data.

1. Use the service at suomi.fi to check your current roles (positions) of responsibility

You can use the service at suomi.fiAvautuu uuteen välilehteen to check your current positions (roles) of responsibility for a company or an organisation in the following registers:

Finnish Trade Register
Finnish Register of Associations
Finnish Register of Religious Communities

You can also use the service to check if you are registered as the beneficial owner of a company in the Trade Register.

To use the service at suomi.fi, you need to have a Finnish personal identity code and an Finnish identification token used in Suomi.fi e-Identification, such as personal internet banking codes or a mobile certificate.

2. Send us a request to check your personal data

Send us a request to check your personal data either

in writing (for instance by sending your request using secure email) or
by visiting our Customer Service in Helsinki. We will send your details to you as soon as possible.

You must assure us of your identity so we can send the details to the correct person. Please make sure that you can verify your identity. When we are processing the request to check personal data, we may ask you to identify yourself online.

Provide the following information in your request:

The PRH register you want to check your details on.
Your name and Finnish personal identity code or your date of birth, if you don’t have a Finnish personal identity code.
Your contact details, such as email or phone number, if we need to contact you.
The address you want your details sent to.

Date and sign your request and send it to us either

as a scanned PDF file by secure email. Select "Control of your details" as recipient. Read more and send secure email.
or by post to: Finnish Patent and Registration Office, FI-00091 PRH, Finland.

The data will be sent to the address provided within 30 days.
