Associations and foundations: how to file financial statements with the Finnish Trade Register

Non-profit associations, economic associations and foundations recorded in the Finnish Trade Register must file their financial statements with the Trade Register for publishing if at least two of the following thresholds were exceeded during the previous financial period and the one immediately preceding it:

  • turnover: 12 million euros
  • balance sheet total: 6 million euros
  • average number of employees: 50.

File your financial statements with the Trade Register within six months from the end of the financial period.

Foundations: Remember also to file your annual report with the Register of Foundations

Foundations must in any case always file their financial statements with the Finnish Register of Foundations together with their annual report.
