How to monitor the changes in your company’s details in the Finnish Trade Register
Submit the company’s email address to the Finnish Trade Register. When a notification of changes concerning the company is filed with the Finnish Trade Register, the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) informs your company by email. You will receive the message in the following cases:
- The company’s email address has been filed with the Finnish Trade Register.
- The email address is working.

How to submit the company's email address to the Finnish Trade Register
You can submit the company’s email address and its changes to the Finnish Trade Register in the online service at ytj.fi. Please note that the online service is only available in Finnish and Swedish.
The notification is free of charge. Read more about how to file a change of address.
Please note that the email address submitted to the Finnish Trade Register is public information and it is shown in the company search at ytj.fi and in other business information services.
Subscribe to our Alert service If you do not want to submit the email address to the Finnish Trade Register
You can also monitor the company’s details using the Alert service in the Virre Information Service. The Alert service is useful if the company’s email address is not recorded in the Finnish Trade Register or if you would like the messages to be sent to your personal email address.
Please note that you can subscribe to the Alert service if you are registered in the Finnish Trade Register as a person responsible for the company, such as a board member, the managing director (CEO), or a partner.
Proceed as follows:
- Log in to the Alert service.Avautuu uuteen välilehteen
- Select the company whose notifications you want to monitor.
- Enter an email address to which the messages should be sent. You can enter several addresses.
- Save and log out.
To log in, you need to have a Finnish personal identity code and an Finnish identification token used in Suomi.fi e-Identification, such as your internet banking codes or a mobile certificate.
How to proceed after receiving the message
After you have received the message, you can check the exact details of the notification in the PRH Virre Information Service.Avautuu uuteen välilehteen
If you, after having checked the details, suspect that someone has filed without permission a notification with the Finnish Trade Register in your company’s name, you should contact the Finnish Trade Register’s advisory service immediately.
