What is the processing status of your notification?

The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) processes notifications inorder of arrival.

Service promise

In week 14, we will process online notifications for new associations within 3 working days of their arrival and online notifications concerning changes in the members of the executive committee or persons entitled to sign for the association within 4 working days of arrival.

Please note that the processing time may be longer in exceptional cases or if we need further information on the notification.

Monitor the processing of your notification

In the Information Service of the Finnish Register of Associations, you cansee the date and time of arrival, status, and latest processing phase of yournotification free of charge. Y ou may have to correct or supplement yournotification, in which case the processing time will be longer. Your notification will lapse if you do not correct or supplementit by the deadline given by the PRH. For justifiable reasons, you can request an extension to the deadlinefrom the officer in charge of the processing.

If the notification was filed online, we will notify the contact personabout the registration by email. In this case, you will findthe extract from the Register of Associations in the Information Service of theRegister of Associations.

If you filed the notification with the Register of Associations on paper,we will send the extract from the Register of Associations after registrationby post to the association or the person mentioned in the notification as theperson providing further information.

See below by type of notification the arrival dates of the notifications thatare currently being processed in the Finnish Register of Associations. We update the processing status weekly.

How do I request a certain registration date?

The PRH makes exceptions to the processing order of notifications only forjustifiable reasons. When you request a certain date or accelerated processing for yournotification, remember to mention the reason for your request.

Please note that the requests are public. Do not include any suchdetails in your request that should not be published.

We observe the requests whenever possible, but cannot, however, answer yourrequests separately.

Before sending your notification

If you use our paper forms (“Y forms") to file your notifications, requestfor registration by a desired date by ticking the box under the text “Rekisteröinnin ajankohtaa koskeva pyyntö"(on the Finnish form) or "Begäran som gäller registrering" (on theSwedish form) on page 1 on the form. Submit a separate requesttogether with your paper notification. The request must include the reason whythe notification should be registered on a certain date or why its processingshould be accelerated.

After submitting your notification

You can also request a certain registration date or accelerated processingafter you have filed your notification. This is alsopossible when you have filed your notification in the Information Service ofthe Register of Associations.

Send your request by email. The request must include thereason why the notification should be registered on a certain date, therequested date of registration, the association’s name, Business ID, if any,and details of the notification in question (such as its record number).
