Beware of scam messages in circulation – always check the website address

Scam messages have been sent in the name of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH), asking the recipient to check their registered business details. The message contains a link to an identification page.

The scam messages and false web pages may look genuine. However, they have nothing to do with the PRH or the online filing service at ytj.fi.

Check always the sender’s address as well as the website and link addresses. If you suspect that the message is a scam, do not open the links. The PRH sends its email messages from an address ending with @prh.fi.

If you have fallen victim to a scam, please read the instructions at suomi.fiAvautuu uuteen välilehteen. If necessary, you should report the offence to the police.

We warn our customers about scam messages on the prh.fi and ytj.fi websites. Read our instructions at prh.fi: How to protect yourself and your company from scams

The PRH has informed the National Cyber Security Centre at the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom of the scam messages.
