Supervision of foundations

The PRH is the authority which supervises foundations. Supervision consists of control of legality, focused primarily on the examination of financial statements. When necessary, a foundation must submit to us further documents for an investigation into its operations.

Because of the specific characteristics of foundations, auditors chosen to examine their finances and administration play a significant role. Among other things, they must oversee that a foundation fulfils its purpose and its assets are properly invested.
