Limited liability companies and co-operatives: Make sure that your financial statements are recorded in the Finnish Trade Register
Limited liability companies and co-operatives must file financial statements for the financial period with the Finnish Trade Register within eight months of the end of the financial period. The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) imposes a fee for the late submission of financial statements if limited liability companies and co-operatives do not submit their financial statements on time. The fee for late submission of financial statements applies to financial periods that ended on 1 December 2024 or later.
Make sure that your financial statements arrive at the Trade Register on time and you are notified by the PRH if anything is missing.
Enclose the financial statements with your tax return correctly
Most companies file their approved financial statements together with their tax returns. If you file your financial statements with the tax return exactly as instructed by the Finnish Tax Administration, the financial statements will be forwarded to the Trade Register at the PRH.
The Tax Administration forwards the financial statements to the Trade Register within about a week. Read more about filing financial statements with tax returns at prh.fi.
